We hereby inform you that D.lgs. n. 196/2003 (“Codice in materia di protezione dei dati personali” Italian Law about Privacy) covers a person’s rights regarding the handling of personal details.
On the assumption that the person concerned directly provides us with his/her personal details, it is also necessary his/her written consent authorizing the handling of his/her personal details.
The person concerned can express his/her consent by filling and signing the enclosed application form which must be sent to the holder of the data (see below) the person concerned data will be treated in accordance with the above regulation, in a correct and open manner, which protects his/her privacy and rights.
The data supplied by person concerned will be used:
- To send him/her messages of an informative and/or commercial nature (i.e. Newsletter);
- To pass on his/her personal details to others or legal persons working within linked activities (concerning legal proceedings, for example) and/or with the purpose of drawing up insurance policies to prevent risks connected with this kind of work;
- The data will be held not only through manual means but also within an electronic database, taking care to guarantee the privacy;
- The person concerned decide whether or not receive messages of an informative and/or commercial nature by clicking on the relevant box in the registration form;
- Therefore, only in this case the holder of the data cannot pass on, or spread , personal details to other persons.
The person concerned can exercise his/her rights regarding the holder of the data at any point as per article 7 of Decree n. 196/2003, which for his/her convenience is reproduced in part below: “Decree that has force of Law n. 196/2003” Art. 7.
Right of access to personal information and other rights.
- The person concerned has the right to obtain the confirmation of the existence or not of personal details which concern them, even if cannot yet registered, including their communication in an intelligible form;
- The person concerned has the right to obtain information on:
- the origin of the personal details;
- how these details are used.
- The person concerned has the right to obtain:
- The updating, rectifying, and, as applicable, the integration of the data
- The cancellation into an anonymous form, or the blocking of data used in violation of the Law.
- The person concerned has the right to object, in whole or in part, to the use of the personal details which concern him/her legitimate reason concerning the purpose of their initial collection.
